Refocusing Yourself

by | Dec 27, 2018

It’s amazing how small a thing can be and still tick you off. Heck, it can even be on your mind hours later.

Silently, it controls your mood for days.

Annoying doesn’t even begin to describe it.

Right now I’m acknowledging what I believe the problem is. Taking a few deeps breaths seems to help me calm down a bit.

This is my attempt to refocus myself. An effort to reposition my mind more positively. One that I hope will lead to a more productive day ahead.

I’ve got a lot of shit to get done, and the last thing I need is unnecessary stuff controlling me and how I feel.

No thank you.

In my case, I usually need to pause my mind and reflect. Some in the meditation circles would call this “living in the moment.”

That has a beautiful ring to it, sure, but I refer to it as “refocusing my mind.” I will admit that their version sounds much better, but that is not the point.

Saying some catchphrase, or trying a solution that works for someone else is only a good place to start.

It does not guarantee to solve your problem.

Your problems are unique and so are you.

You need a unique solution.
